He Chose The Nails

Max Lucado has always been able to grab my attention with his writing style.  He Chose the Nails was the same way. This book goes into details about the symbolism of the cross, from the soldiers spit, to the crown, to the sign on the cross, as well as the two other crosses, the nails and a few other things, the thought process walks us to the rest of the title, "What God did to Win Your Heart."
This book really paints a picture of how much God loved us and what He was willing to do for us. The love that the cross shows comes out in this short, fifteen chapter, easy to read book.  I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about the crucifixion.
This book is a good read, not only for a new Christian but also for those who are ready for a fresh perspective, or those who need a new look at the cross. A device meant for torture, God used to bring us to Him.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with the love of God. This book will lead you to open your eyes and realize the true meaning of the title of the book.
