The Final Summit by Andy Andrews

The Final Summit: A Quest to Find the One Principle That Will Save Humanity by Andy Andrews is a sequel to The Traveler’s Gift and should be read in order if you ask me. While it isn’t one hundred percent necessary, it will give the reader more background as they read the second book.

I enjoyed reading this book as it adds other historical figures with our main character David Ponder. They are at a summit, where Ponder is presiding over the other figures as they try and figure out “What is the one solution that will save humanity.”

This book captured my attention as I read it. The book is fiction but contains many facts about the people in the summit that were very fascinating and things that I did not know. They go into the summit believing they can solve the problem quickly and easily, but find out that it isn’t quite as easy as they thought in the first place and it will take team work to come to a solution. I was surprised to find that I had not figured out the ending as I can usually do. It wasn’t as predictable as many books are these days.

I recommend this book to those who like fiction books or those who like history and unpredictable endings. The book was really well written and an easy read. I do however, as stated earlier, that one should read The Traveler’s Gift first if possible.
